Pension MADONNA

IMG_4885.jpeg
# Feels like your own holiday villa

A pension in Norikura Kogen that feels like coming back to your own family villa. Wooden beams run across the ceilings of the rooms, and together with the white walls they give the warmth of a mountain lodge. There is a wood-burning stove on the 1st floor, and the whole house is spotless and comfortable. The homemade breakfast by the proprietress is superb, and perfect fuel before a walk in Kamikochi or a climb up Kengamine. The detached bath, Kohinoki Nagomiyu, has just been renovated, and you can reserve it for private use by choosing a time on the reservation sheet on the 1st floor of the main building. It is not an onsen, but every overnight guest can use it free of charge. Depending on the season, a carefully prepared full-course dinner may be served in the 1st-floor hall. The homey atmosphere unique to a pension is part of the charm.
