Kinosaki Onsen Morizuya
城崎温泉 森津屋
Illustrative photoThe highlight here is a rock cave bath carved out of natural bedrock. Surrounded by rugged rock walls, you feel as if you have wandered into a hidden hot spring cave: a bath with a touch of adventure that few other inns can offer. Together with the open-air bath, which reflects the scenery of each season, it can be reserved for private use for 40 minutes on weekdays. The guest rooms were planned and designed by the proprietress, and each one is built differently right up to the ceiling, so finding out which room you are shown to is part of the fun. The location is handy for heading out in a colorful yukata for public bathhouse hopping or shopping, and there is a free shuttle from Kinosaki Onsen Station.
